Arriving to Graz


By plane

Graz Airport offers regular flights from Vienna, Zurich, and major German airports, including Munich and Frankfurt. From Graz Airport, a regular train service connects to Graz main railway station (Graz Hauptbahnhof). Once there, take tramline 6 to the city centre (Hauptplatz/Congress) or to the conference venue (Neue Technik). The train station is located approximately 300 meters from the airport terminal.

The trip is included in the regular fare for public transport in Graz (see details below).

A taxi from the airport to the city center costs approximately 25–30 € and takes about 25 minutes.

By train

Graz main railway station (Graz Hauptbahnhof) is reachable from Vienna Airport in about three hours. From the station, the conference venue is accessible by tram or taxi.

Graz has a unified fare system (zone 101) for all public transport, including buses, trams, and local trains.

  • Hourly tickets cost 3.10 €
  • 24-hour tickets cost 6.80 €

The nearest public transport stop to the conference venue is on tramline 6 (Neue Technik).
