Arriving to Graz


By train

Graz Central Train Station (Graz Hauptbahnhof) is one of Austria’s largest railway hubs, offering both local and long-distance connections to major European cities. A connection from Vienna International Airport is also available, with a travel time of approximately three hours.

From the station, the conference venue is accessible by tramline 6 (stop "Neue Technik") or by taxi, in approximately 15 minutes.

By plane

Graz International Airport offers regular flights from Vienna, Zurich, and major German airports, including Munich and Frankfurt.

From the airport, a regular train service connects to Graz main railway station (Graz Hauptbahnhof, ~25 min, every 30 min). Once there, tramline 6 connects directly to the city centre (stop "Hauptplatz/Congress", ~10 min) or to the conference venue (stop "Neue Technik", ~15 min). The train station is located ~300 meters from the airport terminal. The trip is included in the regular fare for public transport in Graz (see details below).

A taxi from the airport to the city center costs approximately 25–30 € and takes about 25 minutes.

Graz has a unified fare system (zone 101) for all public transport, including buses, trams, and local trains.

  • Hourly tickets cost 3.10 €
  • 24-hour tickets cost 6.80 €

The nearest public transport stop to the conference venue is on tramline 6 (stop "Neue Technik").
